Lea attending the 18th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Party on Mar. 7, 2010 in West Hollywood, Calif. She is photographed with Glee co-star Cory Monteith and the Mad Men actress Christina Hendricks. Added 14 pix so far. More after school and stuff tomorrow.
Lea Michele’s deep navy Romona Keveza cocktail dress, smoldering smoky eye makeup and sophisticated side-swept bangs had Grammy glamour written all over it.
Her hair stylist Mark Townsend shares his secret to making her brunet locks shine.
“The Grammys are the biggest night in music and I really wanted to give her a little bit of an edge.” says Townsend, who is the same stylist who twisted that beautiful braid into Diane Kruger’s hair at last week’s SAG awards.
He ran some Moroccanoil treatment into the actresses hair while still damp, blew it dry and hit it with a straightening iron. “I still wanted it to have some movement, even though it was down and straight, so I put a little bend into the ends.” Townsend also cut the front of Michele’s hair into a little side-swept bang, giving her a sultry and more grown-up look.

Broadway star Idina Menzel has started filming her “Glee” episodes.
Lea Michele tweeted Thursday (Jan. 21): “On set with the lovely Idina Menzel:) So happy she is on our show!”

It was announced back in December that Idina Menzel would guest star — a booking all Glee fans had been eagerly anticipating. We were all hoping she’d be cast as Rachel’s biological mom. Instead, Menzel is going to appear as the director of Vocal Adrenaline, the uber-professional rival show choir of Glee’s New Directions.
Menzel is signed on for the entire back nine — that is, the final nine episodes of the first season, so it stands to reason that Vocal Adrenaline and the regional show choir competition are a big part of the latter half of season one.
